On Saturday, August 23, 2003, I got up and went to work at 6:00A.M. A few hours later I came home with what I thought was indigestion. The pain eventually moved to my chest, and we headed to the doctor where there were no other patients, so he saw me right away. The doctor told me I was having a heart attack, so he called the rescue squad and I was taken to the hospital. When we arrived at the ER, there were no other patients waiting in the ER...I know God's hand was at my side for both places to be empty so that I could get immediate attention.

In surgery, the doctor installed a heart pump. He later told me that I shouldn't have made it to the hospital alive because half of my heart wasn't functioning, there was other damage, and the three main arteries were 95 percent blocked. Yet, I heard the voice of God tell me that I was going to be fine and it gave me total peace about the situation.

Monday, August 25, two days later, the surgeon came in to explain to me that he needed to operate before the heart pump got infected, but that my chance of survival was only 20 percent. I spoke against that and activated my faith in speaking healing over myself in the Name of Jesus. Then, I had the surgeon page my cardiologist who said that he didn't understand it, but that my heart was now functioning and some of the other problems were gone. My chance for survival in surgery changed to 80 percent! I told both doctors that it was God's healing power. The surgeon said he was going to perform the surgery and probably do a three-way, or perhaps 4-way bypass and that I would be in the hospital for at least 10 days.

He did 6 bypasses but I went home just 4 days later! God's hand was with me the entire time...I returned to work part time in 4 weeks, and then to full time shortly thereafter. The doctors said "everything healed - see you in 6 months!"

I thank God for all of those who lifted me and my family up in prayer, but most of all, I thank the Lord for his blessings and grace. Praise God!
